Be True to Yourself

There are lessons to be learned while living, sometimes it takes a while to seek out those answers. When I played Persona Q, you can learn lessons from things inside a game. I know most people would say "How can you learn anything from a game" or "Games dull the mind"...But that isn't true.

A scene in Persona Q when you choose to play the Persona 4 Protagonist Kanji talks to Ken, and they both knitt new shoe laces for Ken's shoes. As they are talking, Ken mentions about a person who killed his mother and how he wants to avenge his mother. But the person who did it, may not've meant to do that. Ken is at a loss of whether he should continue to hate this person or not. He asks Kanji what he would do if the murderer they are chasing after didn't mean to commit those murders. Kanji responded back saying he'd talk to the person as much as he needed to. Kanji tells Ken that he used to lie to himself and felt like he was getting nowhere. When you stop lying to yourself, that dead end becomes a wide open space. You have to sometimes seek answers by yourself cause no one can answer them for you. Knitting helps Kanji to clear his head and Ken could do something he likes to clear his head in order to get his thoughts straight.

I believe there is a lesson to be learned from that saying. We all lie to ourselves, sometimes to hide our feelings or so that people won't see how we really feel about things. People sometimes judge us for what they see, so we lie to ourselves to be better or how they want us to be. But that can hurt our hearts because we lie to ourselves. People like us scream out to be heard from our hearts. We feel trapped, caught in this maze of life, constantly running into dead ends.

It's only when someone looks past the lies because they want to know the true you and refuse to give up. You can't help but smile meeting a true friend who really cares about how you feel, will listen to any problem you have, do their absolute best to make you feel better, and support you no matter where life takes you down the road. They open the path in this maze that becomes a straight shot to the exit. So that you don't have to lie to yourself anymore. So you can smile, cry honest tears, laugh truely, and become the person you are meant to be. Not like those who will do anything to bring you down, stomp on your dreams, try to enclose your path, make fun of you, or hurt you to get you to do what they want.

I clear my head by drawing, painting, writing, typing, singing, listen to music, and walking. Yet I still lie to myself. I have friends but they don't dig deep enough to bring me up to the truth, but they are very kind friends who will listen. As am I, I listen to troubles of my friends, I don't laugh if they talk about serious matters because sometimes I am the same way. A faithful friend is a friend for life.
But how true are we to ourselves? How often do we lie to ourselves? I lie to myself a lot. Don't pay mind to people who might put you down, do things you like to do and clear your head. Do your best, after all, doing your best is all you can do. No matter how bad it might be, just trying your best can be a huge accomplishment.

Why I say these words is because too many people get hurt by words and lies. It may not be physical pain, but its a far worse one, an emotional heart wrenching pain. So please.....
